Awards Night

The Bands Annual Awards Evening was held at the Bleanavon Constitutional Club on Saturday 8th December.

The Awards were:

Jane Davies, Bandsperson of the Year an award that is selected by a vote of all band members.

 Anna Browne, Most Improved Player Runner-Up and Tianna Priest, Most Improved Player with MD Gareth Ritter.  Anna was promoted from Second Cornet to Rep recently and has made a big impact on that position.  Tianna joined the band on Solo Horn after playing Soprano.

Daniel Cox, Junior Bandsperson of the Year. Daniel has played an major part in the success of the Junior Band in the past year. 

Not pictured is Ryan Browne who was awarded the Most Improved Junior Player Award for his hard work moving from Cornet to Baritone and then Euphonium.

Paul Miles was given a special Lifetime Membership Award for his years of service to the Band. Paul was for many years the Bands secretary and did so much to provide the band with the facilities we have today, not least an excellent bandroom.

The final award for Most Delicious Hog Roast went to the pig who was absolutely scrummy!
