Town Band Over £3,000 Announced for Velindre Appeal |
Following the Concert held on Saturday 18th February, 2006, with the Blaenavon Male Voice and Ladies Choirs the Blaenavon Town Band is pleased to announce that it has passed a donation of £3,161.10 to the Velindre Appeal.
The Concert
was held to remember two of the Band’s most respected Members, Gareth
Protherough (pictured left) and Bill Baldock who sadly died last year from
differing forms of cancer.
The Band would like to take the opportunity to thank everyone who came along to support the evening, raising such a fantastic amount of money for such a worthy cause and all those who freely gave their services to make the night such a success.
