2nd in Weston and 1st in Ebbw Vale

Two Prizes in two weeks is the haul from the recent round of contests for that the band has taken part in.  First was last Sunday in Weston where the band picked up Second Prize in Second Section with Goff Richards Aeronauts.

Less than a week later it was First Place in First Section at Ebbw Vale.  Principal Cornet, Lucinda Gough  also picked up the soloist prize to round off a memorable week.  This is the highest placing for Blaenavon Town Band for at least 20 years and shows just how far the band has progressed.

There was also a fine performance from the Junior Band who took park in the Youth Section at Ebbw Vale and picked up a Silver Award from Adjudicator Paul Holland.
