World Gamers Get Taste of Brass Bands

Nintendo have announced a new game for the Wii Console that will give gamers world wide the experience of playing in a Brass Band.  Euph Hero will be released later this month by he Japanese games giant for the popular Wii console.  The game will come with a plastic Euphonium into which the Wii controller can be inserted.  The game play takes the player through a number of Brass Band classics from Slaidburn through to Westward Ho!

The game has been developed in conjunction with the European Brass Band Association following several years of research and development. 'Air Cornet' and 'Baritone Karaoke' have been popular pastimes for some time and Euph Hero is a natural development of this. Nintendo also announced plans for 'Mario Conductor' where the player takes on the character of a short fat bloke with a moustache and uses the nunchuck to conduct a Brass Band.

Loof Lirpa, Head of Games Development at the European Brass Band Association, hailed the release of Euph Hero as a new chapter in Brass Banding. "You're my best mate you are, I love you I do!", he was quoted as saying.
