Quartet Contest Success

The Blaenavon Junior Band Quartet 'Brass Bandits' were awarded with second place in today's contest held at the YMCA Newport.  The quartet placed 2 pieces both by Jock McKenzie, Minute March and Nightcap. Adjudicators David Childs and Richard Marshall were very impressed by the overall standard of the playing in both quartets and the solo competitions.

The quartet consisted of David Langley, Rhys Langley, Jessica Whiting and Daniel Cox who also took part in the solo competitions along with Penny Dutson.

The date for next years contest is to be 30th May 2007.
