Blaenavon Town Band Janet Jones

Janet Jones, Percussion

Jan has been with the band since 1965 and has played Cornet and Tenor Horn. She is now in the percussion section and also takes an active role in the Ladies Section helping to raise funds for the Band. Jan enjoys Brass Band music very much and her favourite test pieces are Land of the Long White Cloud and Isaiah 40.

She has many fond memories with the band but she particularly proud of the Four Welsh Championships, Two National Eisteddfod victories and the Third Place in the National Finals in Nottingham in 1999.
