Blaenavon Town Band  Junior Band Concert

The Junior Band played a short Concert for the King Street Baptist Church ladies group tonight. The programme consisted of all the Junior Band Favourites such as Boulders Brass and Circus March.  There were also some new pieces like Medieval Games and Red alert.

The concert was well received by the ladies who made a huge fuss of the youngsters providing crisps, biscuits and squash.  The band also received a donation and an invitation to return for another concert later in the year.

On 1st April some of the band will take part in the first Gwent Solo and Quartet competition and the Blaenavon Town junior Quartet used tonight as an opportunity to practice their piece 'Brass Bop'.
