Blaenavon Town Band Junior Band

The Junior Band is an integral part of he organisation.  It meets twice a week before Senior Band practice and regularly takes part in competitions and concerts.

Rehearsals are Monday and Thursdays from 6:30pm to 7:30pm

There is a beginners class that starts at 6:30pm.  This class caters for players with little or no experience. Players are taught the rudiments of reading music and how to play basic scales and tunes.

After beginners class the main Junior Band rehearses.  Here the music is either 4 or 7 part harmony and introduces the players to a variety of musical styles and new rhythms.
