Gwent Solo and Quartet Contest Postponed

Next Saturdays Solo and Quartet Contest organised by Gwent Music Support has been postponed due to a lack of entries.  It is hoped that the Contest can be held either in May or Early September this year.

Blaenavon Town Band had entered 6 soloists and a Quartet but there were only a few other entries for the Contest. This has been partly due to many young brass players taking part in a National Wind Band Contest in Gateshead but also the lack of support this contest has had from many bands in Gwent.
